About Nicky
Nicky's love for art began when she was young but developed while she attended art school to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. After working for some years in the field, Nicky began to illustrate baby animals after a friend asked her to create a baby bunny for a nursery. The little bunny, which is now her logo, became the foundation for what has become a growing line of work for babies and children.
Nicky licenses her work throughout the United States with some retailers such as HomeGoods and Hobby Lobby. She has also illustrated a children's book and is currently working on adding new products to her growing portfolio of art prints and patterns.
Describing herself as a friendly introvert and a crazy cat and plant lady, Nicky enjoys walking in nature and working in her garden where she attracts a variety of wild birds and animals from which she draws much of her inspiration.
Originally from England, Nicky currently lives in Illinois with her husband, two grown up daughters and an incredibly spoiled cat.
A Passion for Drawing
Nicky's signature style often has a soft, blended look that typically begins with a simple pencil drawing which is popular with her baby and nursery customers. From there, she will often color her art using digital techniques, paints or pens and markers.
As Nicky's work continues to evolve, she is now working on some detailed animal and floral pieces for a new collection coming soon!
